Betty Comstock, age 89, of Webb City, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Webb City Health & Rehab. She was born on June 20, 1928, in Kiowa, Kan., to Rollie Wright and Josephine Coberley.
Betty was a real estate agent, owning Cecil J. Veatch Real Estate Agency, and also an insurance broker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Carterville.
Betty was married to J.D. Comstock. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and four brothers.
Betty is survived by her sons, Larry Comstock and wife, Patty, of Virginia, Jerry Comstock, of Webb City; daughters, Terri McFarland, of Webb City, Sherri Halvorson, of Denver, Colo.; stepdaughter, Lynda Pemberton and husband, Bob, of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; a sister, Jo Ray and husband, Mendon, of Joplin; and a brother, David D. Wright.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, of Webb City, with Pastor Darren Wallace officiating. The family will be present for a visitation on Friday from 6 to 7 pm. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saginaw Cemetery.
