Betty Anne Garrison, formerly of Fort Smith, Ark., died on November 10, 2017, in Sunrise, Ariz.
She was born on August 26, 1925, in Joplin, Mo. She graduated from Joplin High School and from the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, Ark.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was in the Gleaners Sunday School class, the United Methodist Women and the Chapter J, P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was a member of the Fianna Hills Ladies Golf Association and served as president for multiple years.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Garrison.
She is survived by her three sons, Steve Garrison, of Sun City, Ariz., Jim Garrison and his wife, Kimberly, of Okemos, Mich., and Tom Garrison, of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Samantha Garrison, Stephen Baxter Garrison and Matthew James Garrison, all of Phoenix, Ariz., and Payne Baxter Garrison and Carter James Garrison, of Okemos, Mich.; her sister-in- law, Carol Parker, of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 11 a.m., Monday, November 20, at the U.S. National Cemetery, in Fort Smith, under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home, of Fort Smith. The family will visit with friends from 3-4:30 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
