Carol J. Jones, 86, Carthage, Mo., passed away Thursday evening, October 12, 2017, at her home.
Carol "June" Baker was born on June 16, 1931, in Jasper, Mo., to the late Cliffard F. Baker and Clara M. (Thomas) Baker. She graduated from Jasper High School, class of 1949. She then went on to Neosho Beauty College.
June married Loren Eugene Parsons on July 1, 1949, in Jasper; he preceded her in death on December 9, 1984. June then married George Roy Dennis on November 29, 1985, in Carthage; he preceded her in death on April 28, 2009. June then married Raymond Paul "Bob" Jones on April 8, 2016, in Carthage; he survives.
June was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Carthage.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; two daughters, Cheryl A. Thiesfeld (husband Gordon), Kansas City, Mo., and Cynthia J. Hensley (husband Michael), Covington, Ga.; one son, Larry E. Parsons (wife Catalina), Carthage; four grandchildren, Heather Vengley (husband Joshua), Kansas City, Mo., Joshua Fain, Liberty, Mo., Tyler Hensley (wife Kelly), Corpus Christi, Texas, and Christian Parsons, Carthage; and four great-grandchildren, Jayden and Saylor Vengley and Avery and Ace Hensley. She was preceded in death by her two late husbands; one brother, Clifford D. Baker; and one sister, Vera Mae Koen.
Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, at First Baptist Church, Carthage. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Minister Thad Beeler will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Park Cemetery, Carthage.
