Carolyn Jean Anderson, age 67, Joplin, Mo., passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Freeman West Hospital.
Carolyn was born January 20, 1950, in Joplin, where she attended school, graduating from Joplin High School, and then graduated, with honors, from Missouri Southern State University with a degree in accounting.
She worked for Leggett-Platt for over 40 years, retiring on August 19, 2016 as the Director of Segment Reporting. She was a proud member of the Seneca Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma. Carolyn was also a very ardent fan of Missouri Southern sports.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Allen Anderson, and her grandparents.
Survivors include her mother, Kathleen Castagno and her husband, James, of Joplin; her sister, Alicia Kay McKenzie, of Anaheim, Calif.; aunts, Wilma Tincher, of Gilmer, Texas, Willis Snow, of San Antonio, Texas, and Betty Snow, of Seneca; many cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Parker Mortuary. Private family inurnment of her ashes will be at a later date, in Seneca Cemetery, next to her father.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
