Charles A. Miller, 85, stepped into eternity and into the arms of his Lord at 12:24 p.m., July 6th, 2017. He was born in Galena Kan., on June 29th, 1932, to Manford and Gertrude Miller who preceded him in death.
He worked for Porter Cadillac Buick and R&S Chevrolet, where he was service manager for 35 years. He was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church along with his wife, Betty J. Miller, of the home.
They were married on November 18th, 1959, by Thurman Kelly, in Forest Park. Fun Fact: He played baseball with Mickey Mantle in the Old Miner's Park as a teenager.
Additional survivors include his son, Tom Miller and wife, Opal, of Joplin; and two sons from a previous marriage, Gary Miller, from Tulsa, Okla., and Larry Miller and wife, Jane, of Connecticut. He has four grandchildren, Kenny, Danny, Zoe, and Charlie. Also surviving are six nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be held at Forest Park Chapel on Monday, July 10th, at 2 p.m. No graveside services will follow.
