Charles A. 'Tony' Weems, 40, of Neosho, Mo., entered into rest on Feb. 11, 2018 at his home, following a sudden illness.
Tony was born Sept. 11, 1977, in Joplin, the son of Charles R. and Anita (Carter) Weems. He was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School in 1996.
He was employed at La-Z-Boy as a cell team leader and also at Westco, in Neosho. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and an avid supporter of his daughter's activities. Tony was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Chelsea Weems, of Springfield, and Ashley Weems, of Neosho; his mother, Anita Cupps and husband, Billy, of Neosho; his father, Charles Weems, of Neosho; paternal grandmother, Rayleen Weems, of Joplin; one sister, Andrea Simek and husband, Lenny, of Boonville; two nieces, Siena and Gabby Simek; one nephew, Kellen Simek; two step-sisters, Jamie Chastain and husband, Jeramie, and Nikki Burks and husband, Troy, all of Neosho; and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ray Weems; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Twilla Carter.
Services will be Friday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Buddy Funk officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Stella. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, in Neosho.
