Cleo C. Cook, 95, Neosho, Mo., entered into rest on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Medicalodge, in Neosho, after a short illness. Cleo was born July 19, 1922, in Stella, Mo., the daughter of Clyde and Ressie (Lewis) Spiva.
She graduated from Stella High School in 1939, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and had volunteered with the Red Cross Bloodmobile and was a member of the Gingham Girls, in Granby. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Neosho.
Cleo and Clyde Cook were married on May 24, 1941. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1995.
Cleo is survived by three children, Clytia Alumbaugh and husband, Verl, of Neosho, Juanita Hagedorn, of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Steve Cook, of Granby; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin Spiva, Thurman Spiva and Norman Spiva; and daughter-in-law, Susan Cook.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Ralph Walker will officiate. Interment will be in the Macedonia Cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday.
