Daniel "Danny" Ray Tournear passed away on Saturday, May 18th, 2019, at home in Webb City, MO. He was born on December 2nd, 1963, in Joplin, MO, a son of Joseph Clarkson Tournear and Vivian Kay Tournear.
He attended Carl Junction High School and went on to have a career in restaurant management. Danny loved his family and spending time with his children was his greatest joy. He was born with a comedic spirit and spent his life bringing laughter and smiles to those around him.
Danny Tournear is survived by his children, Rebecca Tucker and her husband, Gary, of Hayfork, CA, Zachary Tournear and his wife, Kelsey, of Brumley, MO, Erika Porth and her husband, Tyler, of Cold Spring, NY, Mya Tournear, Alexandra Tournear and Cole Tournear, of Joplin, MO; his father, Joseph Tournear; his siblings, Carol Harshman and husband, Gary, of Bartlett, TN, Joseph Tournear III and wife, Linnet, of Heber Springs, AR, and Shawn Tournear, of Webb City; his grandchildren, Aleksandra Tucker, Gage Tournear, Chase Tournear, Zahara Porth and Willow Porth; as well as his 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Tournear; and nephew, Cliff McKee.
A celebration of his life will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, May 28, at 10 a.m. followed by memorial service at 10:30 a.m at Carterville Christian Church, in Joplin.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to www.gofundme.com/daniel-tournear-memorial-fund. All funds will be designated to support his three youngest children.
Services under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory, Joplin.

Again sorry for ur loss, may God heal ur hearts n u always remember the good funny memories u had with him n the love he passed dwn. U will meet again soon be day. Until then make him proud n live ur life with a smile on ur face n do things for him in his memory. Exp. plant a new tree. I pray for strength for all to get through this time. I just learned of Danny's passing today. It had been years since we last saw each other, but the memories of him at CJ will live forever. Feel sorry for Joe and the family. Prayers of peace and comfort at this time.

My oldest memory of Danny was him pitching at a baseball practice and my dad had to ask him not to hit any more batters or we'd have to call off practice. The ORIGINAL Wild Thing. Play ball buddy, Play ball.
