Diane Katherine "Sapone" Houlihan, 80, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Mo.
Diane was born March 11, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to Charles and Laura "Bozvsky" Sapone. She was a long-time resident of the Sarcoxie/Carthage area since 1977. She retired from Empire District Electric Company and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She was a member of Four Corners Quilt Guild; she enjoyed gardening, crafts and most of all . . . her grandchildren.
Diane was the proud mother of five children: Michael Houlihan, Theresa Block, James Houlihan, David Houlihan and Daniel Houlihan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Houlihan; and brother, Charles Sapone Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, in Pierce City, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Ulmer Funeral Home, with the Rosary beginning at 6 p.m.
