GALENA, Kan. - Dolores Estella "Tiny" Johnson, age 45, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at her home at 11:24 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, following an illness.
Dolores was born, in Joplin, on June 2, 1972, to Marion T. Nelson and Patricia A. (Thomas) Nelson. She had lived in Lamar, Mo., as well as Chanute, Kan., before moving to Joplin one year ago.
She sold Mary Kay products throughout the area, and enjoyed fishing in her free time. She spent many years as a homemaker and caring for her children.
Dolores was united in marriage with Daniel E. Johnson, in Joplin, on February 26, 2011. He survives.
Additional survivors include her father, Marion Nelson, of Chanute; her grandfather, Rev. Leroy Nelson, of Fort Scott, Kan.; two sons, Darnell Lynn Harrison, of Independence, Kan., and Leevon Eugene Harrison, of Carthage, Mo.; one daughter, Monisha Ches'ray Amaya (husband, Arnoldo), of Joplin; two brothers, Patrick Harrison (wife, Rhonda), of Bronaugh, Mo., and Elbert Harrison, of Carthage; and one sister, Virginia Wilson (husband, Deon), of Galena. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Wooden; and one sister, Truie Harrison.
A graveside service will be held at Parkway Cemetery, of Joplin, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 30. Her father, M. T. Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be held at Derfelt Funeral Home, of Galena, on Friday, September 29, from 7-8 p.m.
