Donald's Story

Donald "Donnie" L. Dean passed away at home, in Canyon Lake, Calif., on May 12, 2017 at age 71, after a five-year battle with lung cancer. Donnie was born in Joplin, Mo., July 6, 1945.
Donnie was a truck driver (ABF Teamsters) and served in the U.S. Army in Korea (Specialist 4th Class Surveyor).
Donnie and his wife, Casey, moved to Canyon Lake in 2002. He was a member of the Canyon Lake Family Golf Club, along with his brother David. He served on several POA committees, including the Community Patrol Committee. He loved golf, fishing and beer, not necessarily in that order. He will be missed on the golf course.
Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Casey; and younger brothers, Bob and Richie. He is survived by his twin brother, David; brother, Mike; children, Eric and Danielle; grandchildren, Gavin, Desabell "Peanuts", Destiny and Brendon.
A memorial service was held Saturday, June 10, at Canyon Lake Country Club. Military services at Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City, will be announced at a later date.
