Dorian F. Thournir

Dorian F. Thournir, born January 11 1959, passed away on May 9, 2019 suffering severe chest pains while working a job with his coworkers from Local 178 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. The EMS team took him to Via Christi hospital, in Pittsburg, KS, however, they were unable to save him.
Born and raised in Riverside, CA, he graduated from Polytechnic High School. He attended Fullerton Junior College and received an AA degree in journalism.
He became a tool and die machinist at Rohr Aircraft in Riverside, and purchased his first house, however the recession of 2008 caused his layoff. He became an OTR trucker. Weary of life on the road he changed trades, while living in Joplin, MO, and became an apprentice pipe fitter and finally a journeyman. He was happy working in his union job.
Dorian was a great man and a great brother. He'll be missed by his coworkers, friends and by his family. Godspeed, Dorian.
