Dorothy A. Johnson, age 88, of Webb City, Mo., passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, following a short illness. She was born April 15, 1929, in Picher, Okla., to Melvin and Belva (Jones) Stuckey.
Dorothy has lived in the Webb City area for over 55 years and worked as a housekeeper for many families. Dorothy enjoyed reading and being involved with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather who raised her, Herbert Alexander, and one great-granddaughter, McKenzie Kisling.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Jeanne Leonard and husband, Scott, Webb City; three sons, Randy Johnson and wife, Vanessa, Alba, Rick Johnson, Carthage, Jim Johnson, Alba. Nine grandchildren, Mike Johnson, Shannon Kisling, Bryan Johnson, Andrew Johnson, AJ Johnson, Izak Johnson, Rachel Powers, Zack Leonard and Chelsey Parise; 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, at the Weaver Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 26, from 6-7 p.m. at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City.
