WETUMPKA, Ala. - Harold Ray Redwine, 73, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in his home after a devastating struggle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Phed Redwine and Eula Mae Walker Redwine; his brother Danny Redwine; and grandson Trevor Serjeant.
He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Eveline (Grittner) Redwine; his daughter Cathleen Redwine Klusek and her husband Todd; his son Arthur Redwine; his daughter Vanessa Redwine Wilburn and her husband Mart; his son Kirk Redwine and his wife Stephanie; his grandchildren Bryce, Noah, Nicholas, Garrett, Amber, Amanda, Payton, Jordan, and Blake; his siblings Sharon, Mary, and Jerry; and numerous family and friends.
He was born on January 27, 1944, in Ft. Smith Arkansas, and worked for Speer Hardware company immediately following his graduation from high school.
In 1975, he and his wife moved to Missouri, and there they lived for over 40 years. In 1999, he retired from Consumer's Markets, in Webb City, where he held the title of General Merchandise Manager.
He was a man of great faith, and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, in Joplin, Missouri. Upon moving to Wetumpka Alabama, he became a member of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church.
He was a life-long member of the National Rifle Association. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, and building model cars and airplanes. He loved all things trains and muscle cars. He also loved to travel the world, especially on cruise ships with his wife.
Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and "the best GrandpaDaddy" in the world.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, with recitation of the rosary at 10:30 a.m. Honorary Pallbearers to include: Bill Hause and Tommy Saliba. Interment of ashes will take place at a future date in Joplin, Missouri.
