Jack  Lawson


Jack grew up in both Joplin and Wichita, KS. He joined the Marine Corps in 1965 and proudly served his country, spending 13 months in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained from a hand grenade and spending weeks in a USO hospital. He was honorably discharged in 1969. He went on to live an honorable life.
Jack married Beverly Seay in 1968, they later divorced in 1984. He married Linda Marsden in 1985. Linda preceded Jack in death in 2017.
Jack is survived by three sons, Ron Lawson, of Carthage, Jerry Lawson, of Nixa, and Mark Lawson, of Nixa; a brother, Larry Jewell, of Waco, TX; and two sisters, Connie Jewell, of Jacksboro, TN, and Linda Shaw, of Arkansas; and four grandchildren.
He will be honored and laid to rest April 12, at noon at The Veteran's Cemetery, in Springfield, MO.
