James Evert Allman, 77, of Wentworth, Mo., entered into rest on October 9, 2017 at his home, following a sudden illness.
James was born May 11, 1940, in Stella, Mo., the son of Evert and Emma (Meyer) Allman. He was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Midway High School, in 1958, and then attended the University of Missouri at Columbia for two years. He worked for 49 years as a trucking executive and retired in 2014, and was a cattle rancher and farmer. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
James and Nancy Ann Rodgers were married on September 14, 1976, in Branson. She survives.
Additional survivors include two children, James Ray Allman and wife, Rhodell, of Stark City, and Sara Lucas, of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, Jacob R. Allman, Josh Lucas, Austin Lucas, Jordan Lucas and Andrew Lucas; and one sister, Patricia "Pat" Trenary and husband, Ken, of Neosho. James is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Sherman "Bud" Allman.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 16, at 1 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Mitch Jarvis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dice Cemetery, Fairview, Mo.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Mo.
