James Farley Martin, age 77, of Southwest City, Mo., went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 9, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Martin, of 33 years; two daughters, Corbi Shurtleff, Murphy, Texas, and Toi Heatley, Southwest City; two sons, Devin Martin, Dallas Texas, and Kelly Ewton, Cassville, Mo.; sister, JoAnn Fields, Longview, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, T.A. and Ira (White) Martin; a brother and a sister.
Farley was a member of the Dallas Police Force for 23 years. When he retired he moved his family to Southwest City.
He loved fishing, carpentry, cooking and playing with his grandchildren and helping and caring for others. Those whom his life touched were blessed for knowing him. He was a devoted member of the Calvary Cowboy Church, Southwest City.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 30, at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Cowboy Church, 915 North Main Street, Southwest City.
