John Lee Ford Sr., 78, of Carthage, Mo., passed away March 14, 2018 after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 27, 1940, in Galena, Kan., the son of Alfred and Hazel (Merrill) Ford.
On Oct. 10, 1970, he was united in marriage to Erma Gay Woodard, in Joplin, Mo. She and their dog, Rudy, survives of the home.
John was an industrial engineer for Modine Manufacturing for 17 years until he retired in 2001.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Kim and her husband, Larry Gonzales, daughter, Trisha Rohr, son, John Ford Jr., daughter, Kay and her husband, Darren Roper, son, Mike and his wife, Tarri Stewart, daughter, Gena and her husband, Dave Enloe; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Christian Church, in Carthage. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., before the service, at the Fairview Christian Church.
