Kenneth Dale Poe, age 82, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away, with his wife by his side, on November 19, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Dewey and Ada May Hawkins Poe; brother, Morris Poe; sister, Loyce Perry; and granddaughter, Charlie Poe.
Kenneth enjoyed photography, golf, watching football, NASCAR racing and most of all traveling to new and exciting destinations with his wife.
He attended high school in Joplin, Mo. He later attended Missouri Southern State University. Kenneth served with the Missouri National Guard's 203rd Engineering Battalion, in Joplin, for many years. He retired from The Joplin Globe, in 1981, and also worked several years for Sears Roebuck, in Joplin and Springfield.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Poe, of Hot Springs Village; his sons, Howard Poe, of Waco Texas, and Duane (Shay) Luckie, of Rogers, Ark.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
