Larry McFarland, age 58, of Webb City, Mo., passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, following a sudden illness.
He was born Feb. 19, 1959, in Sunnyside, Calif., to Emmett and June (Spencer) McFarland.
Larry was a firefighter for the City of Webb City and also worked as a police dispatcher for Webb City. He later worked as a computer analyst for Cardinal Scale Manufacturing. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. Larry enjoyed working on building projects and working with computers. His family was very important to him and he loved being with them every chance he had.
He married Terri Comstock on Oct. 18, 2008, and she survives of the home.
He is also survived by one son, Ryan McFarland and wife, Samantha; one daughter, Kelli McFarland; one brother, Ricky McFarland; one sister, Vicki Lett and husband, Michael; five grandchildren, Jaden, Carsen, Rylynn, Skylar, and Reese; two step sons, Dustin Henson and wife, Wynn, Clint Henson and wife, Lisa; five step grandchildren, Lily, Fiona, Dalton, Mickey, and Jameson; and numerous extended family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Balfour officiating. Burial will follow at the Carterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City.
