Lillie Mae Bass, a long time resident of Joplin, Mo., entered Heaven's gates on Feb. 2, 2018. She was born, in Orange County, Calif., on May 12, 1943, to the late Edwin and Iva Sirmons.
Lillie was preceded in death by her one love, Ernest James Bass Jr.
She is survived by her children, Candi Buchanan, Becky Crum, Cathi Green and Bobby. Her grandchildren, Stephanie and Monty Hooper, Mark and Shelley Newman, Dallas and Tricia Newman, Nathan and Laurel Newman, Randy and Ashley Tate, Joshua Tate, Kristian and Derek Cortez, Joe Green, Chandi Roberts, Todd Osmun, and William and April Roberts. She also had 29 grandchildren.
Lillie was a homemaker for most of her years. She would always have a full bowl of candy for the great-grandchildren. She collected ceramic angels, Tupperware used for Thanksgiving and Christmas leftovers (especially fruit salad), and just about every color and style of muumuu ever made. She also had a love for the perfect pair of moccasins, but what she will be remembered for the most is her love for God and the love she had for her family.
Services are planned for Thursday, Feb. 8th, at First Christian Church, in Galena, Kan., at 5:30 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory.
