Lois J. Wells, 68, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Freeman Hospital. Lois was born April 11, 1949, in New Ulm, Minn., to Kenneth Wayne Isenberg and Margaret 'Thompson' Isenberg.
Lois was united in marriage to Vernon Wells on September 18, 1971, in Pleasant Grove, Minn.; they were married for 47 years. Early in their marriage, she attended Minnesota Bible College for four years.
Lois and her husband lived in various places during their time in the ministry. For the past few years they have lived in Carthage, Mo., where Lois worked for over 10 years as a logistics supervisor for Leggett & Platt Trucking. Lois was a member of the Oswego Christian Church, in Oswego, Kan.
Lois is survived by her husband; her son, Rusty Wells, of Carthage; one brother, Wayne Isenberg and wife, Jo Ellen, of Spring Valley, Minn.; and one sister, Joanie Jacobs and husband, Jim, of Woodbury, Minn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Carthage.
