Louis Wayne Conard, 72, of Sarcoxie, Mo., passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, while in the comfort of his home.
Louis entered this life on February 3, 1945, in Carthage, Mo., to the union of the late Albert and Edith (Michael) Conard. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Navy.
On July 26, 1982 he was united in marriage to Hazel Filarski, sharing 35 years together.
He began his career with Juvenile Shoe Company, in Sarcoxie, and later in Carthage, as a mechanic. Louis was a hard worker and a very dedicated employee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cutting wood and spending time at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Louis is survived by his wife, Hazel, of the home; son, Michael Conard, of Monett, Mo.; two brothers, Albert Conard and wife, Carolyn, of Winchester, Calif., and Ray Conard and wife, Pat, of Seneca, Mo.; two brothers-in-law, Junior Filarski and Sam Filarski and wife, Gail, all of Carthage, Mo.; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, August 5, at Dudman Cemetery, with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Michael Conard, Junior Filarski, Sam Filarski and Larry Velten. Honorary pallbearers are Albert Conard and Ray Conard. Visitation will be Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
