Margaret L. Thomas, 90, Neosho, Mo., entered into rest on Jan. 24, 2018 surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Margaret was born April 19, 1927, in La Harpe, Kan., the daughter of Stanley and Marie (Smith) Harris. She was a longtime Neosho resident and had worked as a bookkeeper for Neosho Nurseries and CPA offices. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Neosho.
Margaret married Gaylord V. Thomas on Sept. 10, 1951. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1988.
She is survived by two daughters, Jan Bright and husband, Don, and Kathy Glass and husband, Mike, all of Neosho; two grandchildren, Matt Kunkel and wife, Stacey, and Lauren Kunkel; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Spencer, Trenton, Raegan and Lily. One brother, Howard Harris and wife, Patsy, of Texas. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Alice Upshaw; and two brothers, Wayne Harris and Samuel Harris.
Services will be held Monday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Rich Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at HazelGreen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Bright, Matt Kunkel, Mike Glass, Max Campbell, Eric Ellis and Burt Grau. The family will receive friends Monday, prior to the service from 9 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions in memory of Margaret be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, in care of Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
