Jean Bryan, age 73, resident of Scammon, Kan., passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017, at her home.
She was born April 3, 1944, in Joplin, Mo., to the late William McKinzie and Violet England McKinzie.
Jean married Mike Bryan, August 3, 1983, in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.
She worked as a boiler operator for the Day & Zimmerman Ammunition Plant, in Parsons, Kan. Membership was held in the Lone Elm Pentecostal Church, Joplin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Kay Proffitt.
Survivors: her husband, Mike, Scammon; four sons, Tom Proffitt, Joplin, Jack and Steve Proffitt, both of Scammon, and Don Proffitt and his wife, Missy, Columbus, Kan.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m. in the Parker Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Johnson, officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
