OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - LaVaughn, 84, went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2017. The daughter of William and Nellie (Holeman) Culp, Mary was born January 20, 1933, in Drumright, Okla. After graduating from Drumright High School, becoming a successful real estate agent for Century 21 for many years, in the Joplin, Mo. area.
On March 23,1951, LaVaughn wed Dr. Eugene C. Mouser Jr.
LaVaughn was a successful real estate agent for Century 21 and Pro100 Real Estate for many years in the Joplin area, an active member of Byers Avenue United Methodist Church, an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and World Organization of China Painters.
LaVaughn relocated to OKC in 2010 to be closer to her family. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed china painting and geneology.
LaVaughn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Eugene C. Mouser Jr; son, Eugene C. Mouser III.
She leaves behind her loving family: sons, Bill Mouser and Cheryl Yadon, Jeff Mouser and wife, Judy; sisters, Wilma Twining and JoAnn Beard; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Services to celebrate her life 10 a.m. Friday, August 25, at South Lakes Chapel, with burial following at Heritage Burial Park at South Lakes, 4000 Southwest 119th Street, OKC.
