May Ann Smith, 70, of Columbus, Kan., passed away Jan. 3, 2018, at her home. She was born Aug. 13, 1947, in Joplin, Mo., daughter of Loyd Hunt, James Brand and Mary Brand.
Mary was a member of the Church of Nazarene, in Columbus. She was a waitress and worked with the EVS department for St. John's Hospital, in Joplin, for 10 years.
Survivors include May's significant other, Butch Goden; daughter, Melissa Taylor and her significant other, David Dowling, of Diamond, Mo.; and beloved grandchildren, who May thought the world of, Kade and Kole Taylor. May was preceded in death by her brothers, Dallas and Bill Hunt; parents, James and Mary Brand and Loyd Hunt.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Bath Naylor Funeral Home, in Columbus. Burial will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery, in Joplin.
