Nedra V. Cardwell, 87, Carthage, Mo., passed away early Wednesday morning, December 13, 2017, at Carthage Health & Rehab, Carthage.
Nedra Vivian Kester was born October 6, 1930, in Alicia, Ark., to the late George Kester and Nedra (Masingill) Kester. She graduated from Carthage High School, class of 1948.
Nedra married Bob Cardwell on November 6, 1949, in Carthage. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview Christian Church, Carthage.
Survivors include one son, Dale G. Cardwell (wife Patricia), Carthage; four daughters, Nancy L. Williams, Carthage, Sharon M. Holland (husband Chuck), Carl Junction, Mo., Sandra Wells, Joplin, Mo., and Josie Smith (husband Dean), Webb City, Mo.; one sister, Sandra Douglas, Newtown, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Louis Kester.
Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m., Friday, December 15, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, December 16, at Fairview Christian Church, Carthage. Minister Boyce Mouton will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Hackney Cemetery, Carthage.
