Norma Lee Zippro


Norma Lee Zippro, 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Columbia Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, MO, where she was surrounded by loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Schifferdecker Park, Shelter 3, on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Covered dishes and stories are welcomed! Her ashes will be laid to rest in Atlanta, GA at a later date.

Norma Lee was born in Memphis, MO on October 30, 1928. She was the daughter of William Hamilton and Effie Pearl Moore.

She was married to Cornelius Zippro, who preceded her in death. Together, they had five children: Casey, Bill, Carolyn (Kiki), Annette, and John.

She leaves behind three children: Bill, Kiki and Annette; two grandchildren: Lindsay Simpson and John Austin Zippro; a sister, Margaret Coffman Beard; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Casey and John; grandchildren Casey and Ashley Zippro; brother Richard Moore (Mary); sister Mardelle Little (Charles); and nephew Bob Moore.

Norma Lee will be remembered for her wit, tenacity and charm. Beyond all else, her strength to persevere through all adversities with poise and dignity - she was a true pillar of strength.
