Oma Grace Hicks, 94, Granby, Mo., passed away November 15, 2017. She was born February 2, 1923, in Granby, to Thomas J. and Grace Benintendi Burress.
Oma previously worked as a seamstress for Granby Garment Company. She was a lifelong member of Gospel Tabernacle and enjoyed flower gardening.
Oma married Adolph Hicks in 1943; he preceded her in death in February 1987.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Glaze and husband, Dick, of Joplin, Ed Hicks and wife, Lynett, of Granby, Ron Hicks and wife, Donna, of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Mary Tosh and husband, Mark, of Bluejacket, Okla.; grandchildren, Steven Allen and wife, Christine, Matt Tosh and wife, Julia, and Ben Tosh and wife, Michaela; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday November 17, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Granby. Interment will follow at the Gibson Cemetery, Neosho.

My father, Fredas Allen Cook's Mother, Ada Bell Burress, was a sister to Tom Burress. I loved "Aunt Grace". I had no idea Oma Grace was still with us and I regret not keeping in touch.
