Patricia Leone (Davis) Hurley, a long time resident of Joplin, passed away in Huntsville AL July 05, 2017 after a long illness. Pat was born to Willa (Frazier) and Hansel Davis in Waldron AR in 1928. She graduated from the College of the Ozarks and married James W. Hurley in 1950.
Pat and Jim raised a family on the move as they relocated frequently for Jims job. Pat partnered with Jim in all his many interests. She learned to fly and navigate an airplane, sail, and was his favorite photography model. She was a lifelong active member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and PEO. She was an avid reader and history buff. She had an artists eye for design and won many awards for her flower arrangements. She brought that artists touch and her Christian faith to making a home for her family wherever they lived.
Survivors include her sons Dr. Donald Hurley and wife Andrea of Charleston, SC, and Mark Hurley and wife Linda of Senoia, GA; daughter Susan Hurley Wilson and husband Thurston, of Huntsville, AL; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
