Patricia A. McKinney, 81, Carthage, Mo.,, passed away Monday evening, August 28, 2017, at her home.
Patricia Ann Ward was born February 4, 1936, in Sarcoxie, Mo., to the late Henry Ward and Loeta (Dennison) Ward. She was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School, class of 1953. She received her degree in nursing from MSSC. Patricia worked as an RN for McCune Brooks for 12 years, and Freeman East for 18 years, retiring in 2005.
She married John F. McKinney on April 27, 1963, in Carthage; he preceded her in death on February 15, 2007.
Patricia was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeannine Tague (husband David), Cameron, Mo., and Kelly McKinney, Carthage; one son, Paul McKinney (wife Nancy), Excelsior Springs, Mo.; one sister, Virginia Loop, Carthage; 10 grandchildren, Amy Vaughn Liles, Johnathon McKinney, Kylie Boyd, Marshall McKinney, Nerissa Baublitz, Addison McKinney, Miranda Plybon, Laken Roberts, Suzie Persell, and Richard Tague; and 14 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Bill McKinney and David McKinney, and one brother, Harold Williams.
Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m., Thursday, August 31, at Knell Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Fr. Steve Wilson will officiate.
