Robert Gerald Bricker, 73, passed away October 31, 2017 at his home, in Carthage, Mo.
Robert was born January 26, 1944, in Pittsburg, Kan., to James Robert and LaVaun Margaret "Irwin" Bricker. Robert was a longtime resident of Carthage and was employed by Flex-O-Lators as a tool and die maker for 20 plus years. He graduated from Carl Junction High School with the class of 1962.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Faith Life Worship Center, in Carthage, and a member of the NRA.
Robert was united in marriage to Charlotte Jackson, in Carthage, on May 11, 1968. She survives.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Paula Hammer (Derek), of Carthage, and Pamela DePreste (James), of Joplin; one sister, Donna Martin and husband, Larry, of Joplin; four grandchildren, Alisha, Rianna, Makasha and Dakota; three great-grandchildren, Amoura, Alexis and Lydia. Robert is preceded in death by his adopted daughter, Tara Diane Bricker, who passed in 1999 and his stepfather, Rulie Long.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 3, at Faith Life Worship. Visitation will be held 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
