Robert W. "Bob" Kaulbach, age 84, of Carthage, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017, at his home following a rapid decline in health battling cancer.
He was born February 28, 1933, to Harold and Edith (Oickle) Kaulbach.
Bob served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He received a Masters of Education from Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and served as an educator and psychologist. He was an apartment manager, where he met his wife, Jean. He ran a cookie jar business for a short time with Jean, "Jean's House of Cookie Jars". He was an active DAV member and former DAV commander.
He married Jean on July 31, 1987. She survives.
He is also survived by one sister, Carol Cline, step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ed Kaulbach; and a step-daughter.
Friends and family are welcome to visit Jean at her home at their convenience, no formal services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the DAV in his memory.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City, Mo.
