Roberta Louise Williams, 89 year old Miami, Okla. resident, passed away, Thursday, April 12th, 2018.
Louise was born on Feb. 17, 1929, in Joplin, Mo., to Velda and Floyd Stipp. She was raised in Diamond, Mo., and graduated from Diamond High School.
Louise married Les Williams on June 22, 1957.
She worked for Southwestern Bell and then managed Williams Hardware, in Miami, as well as raised cattle with her husband Les east of Miami on their farm.
Upon the death of her husband, she returned to Joplin, where she resided until just before her death. She loved watching baseball, especially her favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals. She also enjoyed watching golf.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Velda and Floyd Stipp; her brothers, Bud and Robert Stipp; as well as a nephew, Jack Stipp; and her granddaughter, Cathie Collins.
Louise is survived by her two children, daughter, Stephanie Snow, of Joplin; and son and daughter-in-law, David and Cheryl Gilbreath, of Miami; a grandson and wife, Gary and Jennifer Collins, of Claremore, Okla. Louise is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Hayden Collins, Zach and Nick Pryor; nieces, Cindy Stipp, Janice Weaver and Sue Simpson.
Graveside services for Louise will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 16th at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, in Miami. Chaplain Dave Talley will officiate.
