Ruby Mae Grover Watson Stewart, of Webb City, Mo., went to her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2017. Ruby was born December 25, 1923, in Milford, Kan., to Charles and Helen Grover.
In 1940, she married Roy Watson, who was enlisted in the army until he was wounded. They settled in Holton, Kan., and raised two sons, James and Richard.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers, a nephew and a grandnephew.
During her blessed life, she worked on the farm, managed a discount store, and worked for Payless Lumber, in Topeka, Kan., until her retirement in 1988.
Ruby loved family gatherings and fishing. She enjoyed travels upon retirement and enjoyed the outdoors. She attended First Baptist Church, in Holton, and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory, Joplin, Mo.
