Sandra Kay Payton, age 68, of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, following a short illness.
She was born July 28, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Clarence and Daisy (Owens) Adams.
Sandra worked in the clothing manufacturing industry for many years as well as being a representative for Fuller Brush and Avon for 20 years. She had lived in the Carl Junction area for 48 years. She was a Baptist.
She married Kenneth Payton on February 14, 1969, and he survives.
She is also survived by one sister, Sharon Adams, Joplin, Mo., and one brother, Clarence Allen Adams, numerous brothers and sisters in-laws, as well as several nieces and nephews, and her "Furry Kids".
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Lambeth officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests contributions in Sandra's memory to MDA and they may be sent in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City, Mo.
