Sharon Dumas

Sharon Dumas Sharon Ann Dumas was laid to rest with our Lord and Savior Monday, December 31, 2018. Sharon was born in Lancaster, Wis., on December 17, 1943, to Carol and Florence Latch, preceding her in death.
She grew up in Omaha, Neb., and lived there unto 1976, when she and her husband, Joe, purchased their business, Town and Country Mobile Home Community, in Joplin, Mo. Meeting on a blind date, it was love at first sight for both of them. They married August 6, 1960, and had celebrated 58 devoted years of marriage. They were blessed with their love only growing stronger over the years. They had two sons, Ron and David.
Sharon also owned and operated her own nail service for 17 years. Nothing made Sharon happier than spending time with family and friends. Being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were her greatest joys.
Joe and Sharon had a love for traveling, camping, and boating. Many of their happiest memories were spent at the lake. Sharon will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
In addition to her husband Joe, she is survived by two sons, Ron and wife, Bobbi, of Neosho, and David, of Joplin. Seven grandchildren, Kyle, Drew, Adam and wife, Jessica, Christin and husband, Skyler, Justin, Christopher and Mathew. Four great-grandsons, Blane, Collin, Ryder and Gibson; and one great-granddaughter, Logan. Two brothers, Gene Latch, of Omaha, and Duane Latch, of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Rosary and Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, in Joplin.
