Shirley "Shirlock" Elaine Fenner, 80, has a new address in "Heaven".
She passed away peacefully, at her home in Lost Bridge, Ark., on October 29th, 2017 following a brief illness. She lived her life believing that laughter was the best gift to ever give or receive.
Shirley was born on March 11, 1937, in Millville, N.J. She had three children, Toni Ree, Kenneth Howard III "Bunky" and Dorthea Lynn "Dottie".
Shirley met and married the love of her life, Hubert Earl Fenner, on June 14, 1975.
She owned and operated "The Gift Box Florist", in Mahopac, N.Y., in the '70s. Shirley and her husband, Hugh, owned and operated Shirlock's In The Mall, The Little Connor Restaurant and Shirlock's Inside Out, in Joplin, Mo.
Shirley is survived by her spouse, Hugh; her children, Ken Sheppard III, wife Connie, of Muncie, Ind., and Dottie Elbert, husband Robert, of Joplin; her grandchildren, Lindsey Martin, of Muncie, Courtney Williamson, of North Ft. Myers, Fla., Father Colby Elbert, of Springfield, Mo., Kaylee Landis, of Clarksville, Tenn., Aaron Lembo, of Baltimore, Md., and Kyle Winningham, of Hinesville, Ga.; 10 great- grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Mable Treen; her daughter, Toni Grenz; and grandson, Cory Sheppard.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 2, at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 812 South Pearl Avenue, Joplin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Shirley Fenner, to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72764.
