Vivian was special. When I was in 6th grade, I had moved schools and was introduced to Vivian. At first , I didn't connect with Vivian. I connected with out other friend, Sharon. As I began to hang out with them more, I started to get closer to Vivian and thus began our years of friendship. At this point, she was my best friend. Unfortunately, she had to move at the end of 7th grade but that didn't stop us from being friends. I remember she came to visit us and snuck into our 8th grade commencement with her cousin, Timmy. We made a promise that when older, she wuld be my maid of honor an vice versa. To us, we didn't care about the distance but that was the last time I saw her physically. Us... moving on to high school, I kept in contact with her. She even introduced me to Snapchat and was my first friend on it. We'd talk about one direction. She even introduced me to Ed Sheeran. I think it was towards the end of sophomore year where we stopped talking because of busy schedules. The last time I truly talked to her was during her trip to Korea. I was so happy for her. I didn't realize that she would soon leave us. Even through the years of losing contact, I still valued her as my best friend. She promised me that she'll visit me in California during the summer and I waited. I never once forgot about how special she was to me. I guess the only regret I have is not talking to her when things were hard for her. I wish I could tell her that she was important in my life. When I heard what had happened, I constantly had emotional breakdowns. I couldn't process it. She was suppose to come back. But now she's in a better place. And if her family is reading this, I want you guys to try to be happy for her. She's now resting and waiting to see you again.Read more
