William B. (Bill) Irick, age 93, passed away on Feb. 10th, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, following a short illness.
Bill was born on Dec. 31st, 1924, in Wewoka, Okla., to Soloman Irick and Mabel Loney. He graduated from high school in Paden, Okla., class of 1942. He joined the Army Air Corp in 1943, served until 1945, after flying 25 missions as a nose gunner on a B-24 heavy bomber. After the war he worked for B.F. Goodrich, in Miami, Okla., for 38 years. He was a member of The Community of Christ Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Floyd, Leo and Bobby Lee Irick; one half-sister, Ramona Irick; his first wife, Betty; and daughter, Cathy Orvis; and second wife, Katherine Conrad.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; his son-in-law, Bill Orvis; two granddaughters, Sara Bellum and Jessica Orvis, of Nashville, Tenn. Other survivors include three stepchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason Woodard.
