William R. "Bill" Pierce, 47, of Joplin. Mo., passed away on Resurrection Sunday, April, 16, 2017. Bill was born, in Joliet, Ill., June 2, 1969. He lived in the Carthage, Mo. and Joplin area most of his life.
Bill graduated Carthage High School class of 1987. He was a machine operator for Schreiber foods for 30 years and was a member of Life Church of Carthage.
Bill was united in marriage to Lisa Pyle on July 31, 2015, in Carthage, she survives.
Bill is survived by his dad, Bob Pierce, and step-mother, Mary Pierce, of Carthage; one sister, Gayle Parks, of Carthage; one daughter, Lynzy Pyle, of Springfield, Mo.; and one son, Aaron Pierce, of Carthage; one stepson, Kory Pyle, of Carthage; one granddaughter, Myla Pyle, and expecting Baby Bean; three nieces, Sydney, Erin and Lindsey; and one nephew, Jimmy. One stepsister, Debbie Beaver and husband, John, of Tulsa, Okla. Bill is preceded in death by his mom, Linda "Hooker" Pierce.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday April 21, at Life Church of Carthage. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday April 20, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
