Wilma Faye Evans joined her heavenly family March 25, 2017.
She was born June 9, 1934, to William "Bill" and Beulah Christensen and was a lifelong Carthage, Mo., resident.
Wilma married Charles "Bill" Evans on June 24, 1951. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2011.
Wilma previously worked for Park Cemetery and she and her husband, Bill, owned multiple rental properties during their years together. She considered being a good wife and mother more important than any other endeavor. She cooked three meals a day, ironed countless frilly dresses, and made a dollar stretch a mile. She was a founding owner of Quality Memorials, Inc., and was a board member at the time of her death.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryle (Chris) Finley and Sue (Bill) Joslen, both of Carthage; grandchildren, Billy (Teresa) Joslen and Sarah (Chris) Horine; one great-grandson, Atlas Horine; three step granddaughters, four step great-granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Linda Scroggins.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28.
