Bedah Alice Wilson, 76, of Carterville, Mo., passed away July 13, 2017 at Galena Nursing Center.
Bedah was born December 5, 1940, in Joplin, to the late Charles and Martha (Potter) Wilson. She was a 1958 graduate of Chaffey High School, in Ontario, Calif.
On April 3, 1960, Bedah was united in marriage to Ted Mize and to this union one child was born.
She then continued her education, graduating from Chaffey College in 1985 and Sacramento State University in 1995. Bedah retired as a vocational instructor from the California Department of Corrections.
Bedah moved to Oregon, in 1995, to care for her parents, where she resided for 10 years before moving back to Missouri in 2005. Bedah was a member of the First Christian Church, of Webb City.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Beach (George); four siblings, Charles Wilson (Evelyn), Gene Wilson (Joan), David Wilson (Myna) and Jane Wilson; two grandchildren, Susan Jane and Ted Walter; one great-granddaughter, Hayley Elizabeth; 14 nieces and nephews; and her two chihuahuas, Sir and Bear.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at First Christian Church, in Webb City, with Pastor Mike Geisert officiating. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Chihuahua Rescue Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
