Bob L. York, 87, Diamond, Mo., died September 23, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital, in Tulsa, Okla., following a short illness.
Mr. York was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Houston, Mo., and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and last worked for G and H Ready Mix. He enjoyed fishing and attended the Diamond Baptist Church.
Bob and Emma (Story) were married on June 21, 1947. She preceded him in death on April 23, 2009.
He is survived by one son, Charles York and wife, Jillene, of Neosho; one granddaughter, Christen York, of Neosho; and his companion, Sue Wilson of Tulsa. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Jason York.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 29, at 2 p.m. at the Diamond Cemetery, Pastor Ron Crow will officiate. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home. Neosho, on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
