Brooke Nicolle Robinson, age 12, Joplin, Mo., passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017, in Joplin.
Brooke was born July 2, 2004, in Joplin, daughter of Jay Robinson and Mackenzie Welton Robinson. She was a student at East-Middle School where she was a part of 8th grade Cheerleading Squad. She was also on the East Middle School Track team, and enjoyed playing soccer growing up. She was a member of the Student Council, and was looking forward to her role as a Web-leader at the school. She was also a "Big Sister" to many of her friends, and idolized her own big sister, Taylor. Anything Taylor was involved with, Brooke felt the need to try also. She also loved family outings and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Dan Welton, Frank Robinson, Larry Curtman, and her great-grandparents.
Survivors include her parents, Jay and Mackenzie Robinson; sister, Taylor Robinson; grandparents, Deborah French, of Joplin, Minnie Robinson of Crocker, Mo.; aunts and uncles, Jaremi Welton and wife, Sarah, of Neosho, Mo., Dale Robinson and wife, Judy, of Florida, Willie Robinson and wife, Kelly, of Richland, Mo., Edward Robinson, of Irving, Texas, Erick Robinson, of Waynesville, Mo., Kevin Curtman, of Springfield, Mo., Joey Curtman, of Buckhorn, Mo., Rey Peterson and husband, Charlie, of Crocker, Eunice Clark and husband, James, of Laurenburg, N.C., Reba Null and husband, Billy, of Dixon, Mo.; numerous cousins, and great-uncles and aunts.
Funeral service will be Monday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Jeremy Ritchie, Area Director with Young Life, officiating Interment will follow in Osborne Memorial Park Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
