Carolyn Romena Boyd Floyd born Sept. 3, 1940, was a lifelong resident of the Joplin area and passed to our Lord Aug. 4, 2017, after a long illness. She was born to Ronald and Ramona Boyd.
She married Carl Ray Floyd, her soulmate, June 2, 1957; he survives.
Carolyn leaves behind a twin sister, Catheryn Lorenz and brother, Norman Boyd. She also leaves behind four children, Carol (Floyd) Horine, Derrick Floyd, Richard Floyd and Danny Floyd. Survivors also includes eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was blessed with many friends at the Joplin Flea Market, many she considered family. Carolyn and her sister, Catheryn were always referred to as Twinkies; see one and you see them together.
Carolyn enjoyed life with Carl with activities such as camping, country music at one time playing drums for the ATA Hootenannies around the Joplin area, picnics with family, and a homemaker that loved cooking up meals for her family and friends.
No services are planned at his time, but family and friends will be invited to a memorial picnic at a later date celebrating what Carolyn enjoyed most, her life with family and friends.
