Carroll Sue Cook, 79, of Baxter Springs, Kan., passed from this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Quaker Hill Nursing Home.
Carroll was born on September 17, 1937, in Lone Elm, Mo., to the union of Edward F. and Zella A. (Jacobs) Endicott. Carroll was a homemaker throughout her life loving and caring for her family and friends.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing bingo and the piano. She loved baking for the family and loved to spoil the grandchildren.
Carroll is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Theresa Smith-Cook; grandson, Bobby Smith; along with several brothers and sisters.
Carroll is survived by one son, James Cook and wife, Teresa of Baxter Springs; five daughters, Debbie Smith, of Kansas City, Billie Ballenger, of Vinita, Okla., Linda Pence and husband, Skip, of Grove, Okla., Lynn Chaffin and husband, Bob, of Quapaw, Okla., and Crystal McCarty, of Wyandotte, Okla.; one sister, Faye Wreen, of Caney, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 20, at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel. Pastor Geoff Buffalo will officiate. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Burial will be in the Hornet Cemetery.
