Charles W. Warren, age 85, of Exeter, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, in Cassville, Mo. He was born March 13, 1932, at Exeter, the son of Joe and Ethel (Higgs) Warren.
On December 24, 1955 he was united in marriage to Barbara (Ennis) Warren, who survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Cherry Warren and his wife, Ann, of Purdy, Mo.; and three sisters, June Brandt, of Monett, Mo., Bonnie Lambeth and her husband, Jack, of Cassville, and Virginia Terry and her husband, Roger of Monett. Preceding him in death were his parents.
Charles grew up and received his education at Exeter where he graduated from high school. During the Korean War he served in the United States Army. For over 20 years he was employed for General Motors and Chevrolet, in Kansas City. In 1967 he returned to Exeter and started farming and trading livestock, which he loved. He also enjoyed going to the coffee shop and visiting with friends. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, at Exeter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Fohn Funeral Home, in Cassville. Brother Steve Higgs will conduct the services. Burial, with military honors, will be in Maplewood Cemetery, at Exeter. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home, in Cassville.
