Dennie Lee Fay, age 58, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on March 15, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Dennie was born on September 23, 1958, in Barberton, Ohio, the son of the late Floyd and Eileen (Quinlan) Fay, Joplin. He was a skilled carpenter, he could fix or build just about anything. He worked for Ledford Construction for twenty-five years. Dennie was very kind natured, and a friend to many. He loved his dogs.
He is survived by his life partner, Eva Long, Joplin; his brothers and sisters, Mary Pugh and husband, Larry, Jr., Rebecca Fay and husband, Martin Bernstock, Jersey City, N.J., Buzz Fay and wife, Denise, Toledo, Ohio, Gene Fay, Toledo, and Sherri Mitter and husband, Joseph, Tampa, Fla.; and nephews, Larry Pugh, III, Scott Pugh, and Joseph Mitter.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Pastor Scott Pugh will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Ledford and James Ledford. The family will receive immediately following the service.
